Part of our total wellness package includes on-site blood testing, but not in the way that you might think. Our programs offer a combination of traditional allopathic medicine along with a personalized, holistic, functional medicine approach. We perform on-site blood testing so that we can get information to compare against your weight and heart health, gut health, hormone health, immune health, fitness level, stress levels, cognitive and neurological function, and more.

On-Site Blood Testing
To understand health as a measure of function rather than as the absence of disease requires having adequate data. At the Personalized Lifestyle Medicine Center (PLMC), we believe that “health” is a reflection of total wellness beyond just eliminating disease. We’re on a mission to change the way we define and measure health by taking an integrative, functional approach. Part of how we achieve this is by conducting a full body composition analysis, reviewing your medical history, and making lifestyle changes. Producing the best personalized plan of action.his helps us address not only individual needs but also broader trends as they relate to the body, mind, and soul.

Why On-Site Blood Testing Matters
Having immediate access to your body’s information is key. At the PLMC, we keep things as streamlined and straightforward as possible. We understand that healthcare can get complicated and we don’t want to make it any more stressful than it needs to be. Rather than sending you to an external lab to have your bloodwork done, we perform on-site blood testing right here. This makes it easier for our practitioners to access everything that is needed to evaluate your current health status.

How Does On-Site Blood Testing at the PLMC Work?
The PLMC performs all on-site blood testing through the Piccolo Xpress chemistry analyzer. We use Piccolo because it allows us to perform routine, multi-chemistry panels using just a few drops while gaining valuable information about our patients’ bloodwork. Piccolo delivers accurate results in real time by using intelligent quality control (iQC). This enables us as healthcare practitioners to assess, evaluate, diagnose, and treat conditions as they relate to the rest of a patient’s body and well-being.
The PLMC Approach to On-Site Blood Testing
As with all of our other testing and screening procedures, we consider blood testing to be just a piece of the puzzle that makes up one’s overall health status. Bloodwork provides us with useful insight surrounding your metabolic, emotional, cognitive, and heart health. In addition to running blood labs, we also take blood pressure and pulse assessments, body temperature measurements, and conduct nutritional and physical fitness exams to determine your baseline. Once we establish that, we work to optimize your health and wellness so that we can improve your longevity.
If you’re looking to take control of your health and see change, improvement, and results in the function of your life, the first thing to do is get in touch with the PLMC. We’ll help set you on the right path.
