Proactive Versus Reactive Care

The goal of the PLMC chiropractic care team is to improve your entire musculoskeletal system and allow the biomechanics chain to work as it was meant to perform. We strive to reduce pain, and improve form and function. Many chiropractors oversimplify this process by stating that you are “misaligned”.

Our Programs

Our programs address areas of pain from the joints and soft tissue levels with the use of myofascial release, joint manipulation and joint mobilization. This program concentrates on reducing muscle spasm, restoring motion, and improving stability with focused strengthening. We incorporate advanced technologies to assess your biomechanics and address more difficult conditions. Some of the areas we specialize in include:

Pain Reduction

Low back, neck, headaches, shoulder pain (myofascial release, joint manipulation/mobilization techniques, dynamic cupping, taping techniques)

Functional Restoration

Flexibility, strengthening, and performance of daily tasks and hobbies (home and office exercise programs, stretching)

Sports Medicine and Performance

Advanced biomechanics assessment and injury recovery protocols

Accidents

Auto and Work-related accidents

What is Shockwave Therapy?

EPAT Therapy is a non-invasive modern and highly effective treatment method where high-energy sound waves are introduced into the painful areas of the body. EPAT technology also known as ESWT accelerates the healing process in the body by stimulating the metabolism and enhancing blood circulation to regenerate damaged tissue.

How Does Shockwave Therapy Work?

Strong energy pulses are applied to the affected area. These pulses occur for short periods of time, creating micro-cavitation bubbles that expand and burst. The force created by these bubbles penetrates tissue and stimulates cells in the body that are responsible for bone and connective tissue healing. This treatment is excellent for many musculoskeletal conditions and has a 91% effectiveness rate and is safe, with minimal to no side effects.
